Haiti Agriculture Relief Benefit This Saturday



Fair Share Urban Garden, in partnership with the Haiti Response Coalition, is inviting the public to attend a fundraiser and public awareness benefit at the Fair Share Urban Garden located at the
Daytona Beach Lions Club at 345 White Street. 386-451-9003

• 9 a.m.- Fair Trade Artisan Market; featuring handcrafted items from
Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Caribean art by Sarah Barnaby of the Art Consortium.
Handcrafted jewely by Kim Seamans of the Art Consortium.
• 11 a.m.- Fresh Brunch Buffet; including fresh fruits, salad bar,
juices and "Singing Rooter" Haitian shade-grown coffee
Guest speaker- Jeff Rogers recently returned from Haiti making a
powerful presentation on the relief efforts following the quake.
• 12 Noon- “Power of Community” a 50 minute documentary on how Cuba
developed sustainable organic agriculture following the fall of the
Soviet Union. Cuba’s agriculture programs provide a replicable model
for both the U.S. and for rebuilding Haiti following the devastating
earthquake.
• Suggested donation at the door $5

Fair Share is a sustainable urban agriculture project of Salt of the
Earth, Inc. a local 501(C)-3 and is committing 20% of all financial
contributions throughout 2010 to grassroots food projects of the Haiti
Response Coalition, helping the people of Haiti feed the people of
Haiti.
